I was nervous beforehand of what it would be like having someone else in the room..and taking pictures! But I hardly even knew she was there except when she peacefully offered me words of encouragement. She even ended up being an extra pair of hands for the midwives! I don't know what we would have done without her and I am so incredibly thankful for the beautiful photos she captured of our daughter's birth. What an amazing gift to see the other side of labor! “ Kayla was our Doula for the birth of our daughter and was wonderful from start to finish! In the months and weeks leading up to the birth she really made an effort to get to know me and my husband and our birth wishes so she could provide the best support possible for us. Whenever I texted her my questions or concerns about my pregnancy, she was always quick to respond with knowledgeable answers and encouragement. She checked in with me often to see how we were doing and made us feel very cared for. During my labour and delivery, Kayla's calm, caring, professional manner was very comforting. She was a great help to us both emotionally and in practical ways as well. Kayla also provided wonderful support after the birth, giving me suggestions to help with breastfeeding problems I experienced.
