Motherhood Journaling

When: Monday, March 30th from 6pm-9pm
Where: Conversations Cafe in Beamsville
Event Details: Come learn creative writing skills as well as watercolour painting and mixed media as you learn how to creatively write out your birth story. All materials will be provided as well as a small journal. Learn the healing power of writing your story. This group is for all mamas! Mamas who have had empowering and wonderful birth experiences, mamas who have miscarried or experienced infant loss, mamas who have dealt with birth trauma, mamas who have been surrogates. Everyone is welcome!

Motherhood Event

Meet the Doula Night

When: Monday, April 27th from 6pm-9pm
Where: Conversations Cafe in Beamsville
Event Details: This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about who Doulas are and what we do and our role during your birth. You will also have a chance to meet different Doulas from the community and chat further with them about what labour support looks like. We will have an info session starting at 6pm and from 7-9pm will be drop style in where you can mingle with Doulas and ask any questions you may have about Doulas. This is a great opportunity to Doula shop and a find a Doula that works best with your needs and your family.

Labour Basics: Comfort Measures

When: Monday,May 25th from 6pm-9pm
Where: Conversations Cafe in Beamsville
Event Details: This workshop is all about educating you on the birth process and familiarizing you with the different comfort measures and pain management techniques you have available to you during labour. This will be an interactive workshop where you will have the opportunity to see all the comfort measure tools available to you and test them out for yourself! We encourage you to bring your birth partner! You will get to try the peanut ball, practice the double hip squeeze, learn different positions for delivery, learn what a TENS machine is and how it can be used during labour as well as testing out the rebozo. Everything will be hands on so you can leave feeling confident about managing your labour.
Price: $25 per person/couple

Spinning Babies Workshop

When: Saturday, June 13th to Sunday, June 14th from 9am-3pm
Where: Tru LOVE Birth Photography & Doula Services in Beamsville
Event Details: This workshop is for birth professionals including OBs, Midwives, Labour & Delivery Nurses and Doulas. Learn about the labour process and where labours stall, rotation solves, comfort measures, fetal positioning, identify what to do to avoid long labours and cesareans, learn solutions for posterior positioning, labour dystocia and more!
